Attempting to finish the front page

I have about 80% of the front page completed.  The content area and
sidebar I have done as much as I could.  The header is done, footer has
it's layout in place, but requires more styling.  Working on the topbar
now and doing some styling for that.

back to work on the front

I got a reply from Collins and I'm back to working front page.  It is
getting close.

trying to match the front page psd.

I found some matching issues with the front page already.  The h1 before
the blog feed doesn't match the psd exactly.  It looks like there is some
letter spacing, and Collins has nothing mentioning it.  I sent him an
email and waiting for a response.

I have a chunk of the front page done, I just need to add more sample
content to finish it up and finish the footer styling and layout.

sidebar is almost complete.

I have done further work on the sidebar styles and I am running into
problems with the sprites that Collins saved.  The shadows and borders are
included in the sprite which is causing trouble.

I think I can say I'm finishing up the sidebar.  It could use some more
styling, but I'll get back to it.

working on the front page

I am making some progress on the front page.  The slideshow is in place
and I have some place holder items for the sidebar.  The rest of the front
page still needs to be done.

file format change and minor changes to the header

I changed the file format of everything to LF.  I also did some changes to
the layout and some styles in the header.

Wrapping up header area with the search

I think I am wrapping up the last thing in the header area.  The search in
the header seems to be to an acceptable state for now.  I need to get to
the other areas now.

making average progress on header.php

I am making slow to average progress on the header.  I still need to fix
the issue of the search.

header update

I started to make a search field.  I need to add the magnifying glass.

header development and styling in general.

I am in the progress of creating and styling the header.  I think I have
the layout, but I need to style it and get the search field into the
header.

Styling in settings.scss

I did some styling variables in the settings.scss file and added the
favicon.  Miniscule start at best.

adding assets and starting breakout

I added the elements from the psd folder and placed them into the assets
folder as well as do some starting layout with modifying the settings
file.

I just compiled everything for the first time.  I forgot to do it before
the first commit.
