I have the bridge responsive now

The bridge image is now moving with the screen size.  I added it as an
element with absolute positon and the row container that I gave an id to
relative position.  I did some styling to it and removed the code that
made the bridge a background element.

Finishing up the last of the requests

I think I finished the last of the requests fot the header and top bar.

I am still trying to make the header right according to the changes.  I
have added a new logo, moved the action items up 10px, and redid styles of
the topbar and header.

I reverted the changes I made to the front page box shadow

I had to change the box shadows back to what they were.  It looked alright
at first, but on the dev site it looked like crap.

I have done some updating to the box shadows on the front page action
items. I made it a bit bigger and I more transparent.  Not a much of an
improvement.

I added box shadows to the action items.  It is the same box shadow as the
action items on the interior pages.

lightening the header shadow

I lighted the box-shadow on the header.  It is a bit more transparent than
before.

header image experiment results

I've been experimenting the potenital header images to find out what the
right size ratio could be.  A 2:1 ratio would be best, but the view port
desired is too small for it to work.  Increasing the view port from 300px
to 350 would make it work best.

made the padding bottom 25%

I adjusted the header image to have a padding bottom of 25% istead of 15%.

I changed the default header image with the original large image for now.

fixing my mistakes

I made several mistakes when fidilling with the header image code.  I
added background size cover and changed most of it back.

Fixing topbar issues

I went into the topbar.scss and did some style changes with the pipes and
dropdown.  Pipes are not in the tabs and the dropdown is one column.

fixing some text decoration inconsistancy

I noticed the text decoration between the sidebar action items and the
front page were different.  So I went in and changed them to be identical.

updating bridge cam link for action items

I changed the links for the bridge cam action items on the front page and
sidebar.

I added the link to the statistics page to the images in the footer and
changed the topbar nav a bit with styles from Harbor Country Jodie asked

I redid some of the styles for the headers and altered a few things in the

I made a new class to make some styles only apply to the sidebar area.  I
made an h3 style that applied to all of the content when it was to be only

fine tuning for compare and contrast

I made quite a few more style changes after talking to Jodie and comparing
to the jpegs.  Made changes to the nav spacing and redid parts of the
footer and main layout.

adding missed detail to client info

I missed a divider detail between 'Contact Us' and Privacy Policy' the
first time.  I added in and styled it enough to appear right.

making edits because of back and forth comparisions.

I made more edits to the theme and styles because of variations between
jpeg and what I made.  The size proportion is unrealilistic with the
widest it goes in content to 800px.  Other changes have been made that
do not match the notes because the specs in the notes don't match the
jpeg.

tweaking interior page

I added a border and padding to the top of the content wrapper.  It looks
more like the jpeg now.

making changes to elements

I removed the id I called 'space' and added styles to the main.scss so the
background works on that with a certain padding to provide the bottom
spacing they wanted.  I also did some tweaks to the sidebar for the action
items.  The only change made the header.php is a cache break.

Fiddling with styles and trying to get teal to leave

I made more changes and was having a rendering issue I can't explain.  It
was displaying the color of France Journeys teal instead of the blue code
I placed int the settings.  When I would type $blue in the style, teal
would show up as the text color.  The blog.scss and woocommerce.scss were
edited to comment out the color code for teal. There's a bit more, but
it's rather long winded.

working on the styling aspect of the last parts

I have done styling of the last bits and pieces of styling I need to do on
Mackinac Bridge front page.  Interior page is what needs work.

fixing issues with the action items and changing the header area

The equalizer wasn't working and I restored an placeholder image for the
bridge cam.  The header area I added more spacing to give a bit breathing
room for the logo and headers.

I made changes to the styles and added the right images for action items

I changed the styles of some of the items in the settings.scss, header
font changes, and did some minor spacing changes to the header.

I removed some of the old images Jodie provided and added the new images
Collins made to take their place and am beginning to parts of the site for

post review changes to blocks and main

I added some spacing to the bottom of the content area so the spacing
matches the top.  I did a bit of styling with the 'Read more' anchor so it
shows up next to the block text.  There are two other items that could use
some changes, but we need Designer approval before we proceed.

final adjustments to the header

I re-arranged some parts of the header so that it can work propperly on
small view.  It may look wierd at first, but it works perfectly when we
get to the smallest of screens we support.

I removed the sticky effect from small and medium view and I made some
changes to the header area.  I changed the header area grid layout so the
logo and text would share the space better.  Also made it so the tagline
will wrap instead of get cut off.

I did the changes to the sidebar as requested.  I moved the breadcrumbs to
be over only the content, also changed the colors of the links in the
footer to be more legable.  The color wanted originally was difficult to
read against the dark blue background.

I fixed the width issue for the blocks area by containing the background
image.

I made a few changes to the dropdown nav and some positioning of the logo.
The logo is now to the side and made some spacing adjustments for the
dropdown.

I made a new screenshot for Mackinac Bridge and had it replace the France
Journeys one that was there to begin with.

Making changes to the topbar and footer

I made some changes to the topbar and the footer.  I replaced the social
icons with an image tag with alternitive text of 'graphic here' more or
less.  I also changed the alternitive text for the footer image to
'Michigan Department of Trasportation".  In terms of topbar changes, I
made the anchor normal instead of bold.

tweaks for responsive and aiding dropdown appearance

I began responsive tests and I found out I had to do some styling changes
to make things work.  I edited the styles of the blocks so they do not
need the data equalizer.  Did some work with the dropdown menu so it could
look presentable.  I adjusted the padding for the li so long titled items
hopefully don't go to the right.

Finishing up styles.

I think I am almost finished with the styles for large view.  It seems
good on that front to me.  I did some styling with the interior page to
trying to make things work right.

Mass styling

I'm doing alot of styling for the front page and interior page.  I added
the sidebar with the action items at the bottome of the sidebar.

Working on styles

I'm working on getting the styles to match what has been requested.  I'm
doing quite a bit of work in the main.scss file.

Continuing layout work

I am almost wrapped up with the front page.  I added a placeholder for the
bridge cam and added the equalizer watch to the containers of the action
items.  Also made changes to the colors of some things.

I have been trying to make the data equalizer work for the action items
and the blocks.  So far the blocks are the only one that are working.

I did some more work with the header area.  I added something from a
sellable theme I made that allows us to change the site name, tagline, and

styles and header

I have been doing quite a bit of work on the color styles and working on
the header layout.  The original logo is too big for our intended 100px
header area.

making changes

I added a new partial called action-items.php and did rearranging of the
frontpage.php.  I added a style category for the action items in the
main.scss.  I had to do some changes to the dropdown menu, the spacing was
ridiculaous.

I added images that will be used into the assets folder and removed some
that wouldn't be used.  Also did changes to the layout and in the process
of restyling the blocks.

adjusting styles and taking out some things

I adjusted the blocks to work like the St. Marie site and commented out
the styles that applied to the block content for the moment.  Lastly I
took out what I felt was uneeded images from the assets folder.
