adjusting the front page blog feed structure to match the blocks

the one blog post that is being pulled into the front page with the 2 blocks was not structured
or styled in the same manner as the blocks and as a result was displaying different when images
were added. I added a block class to the one post container and removed the nested column class
that was wrapping the image so that it would help keep it similar to the block images

adding form method GET to the header search form

the search form in the header was missing the method attribute, trying to test out the search
functions

using the youtube embed code to replace the static image that was in the
front page template to use an embedded video

adding the base styles and javascript to get the testimonial slider on to the front page

adding the_field function to the front page theme template file. Also had to fix a var
in the foreach for the blog posts template file as it was overriding the global post variable

I took out the extra shortcodes

I took out the shortcodes for the custom fields that were no longer
useful.  And I edited on the admin side that the custom fields don't
show.

made a new template

I made the full width template.  It is being used on "The Center" page.

I updated the spaceing issues on the front

I updated some of the spacing of elements that didn't have the same
spacing as the psd.  Now it's close to perfect.

I am working on making it perfect.

I am trying to make the theme output as perfect as possible.  It is not
an easy job.

I made some updates to the theme.

I added a featured image to the blog sections and made updates to the
topbar to help with the active class in the dropdown.

html cleanup

I cleaned up the html errors that were showing up.  Alt tags for images
one too many of a certain tags, the usual small things that show up.

adding an active style to off canvas

I added a style to indecate what page someone would be on since Collins
said no breadcrumbs.

adding favicon and potentially final edits

I added the missing favicon and did the last few styles I think it
needed.

I updated a few things

I changed the default feature image to a cropped version of the original
example of a default image size.  I also made the padding between the
items in the image bar.

New feature image and post q&a work

I got the answers I needed from Collins.  I've made the changes needed
for them and worked on the off canvas.  I also have a new thing I can
use for the default feature image Collins just made me.

More responsive and browser edits

I have made a few more changes to the styles after some cross browser
testing.  I think I may be getting close.  Unfortanatly, I can't check
my checklist.  I have a hunch where I am at, but I don't know exactly
where.

I added the screenshot of the front page to take a step to wrapping up
the theme.

interior reponsive chagnes

I made more responsive changes for the interior page layout.  This is
still just testing with firefox.  And I still don't have our questions
answered by Collins yet.

I made changes after responsive tests

I did the responsive tests on firefox and made changes as I saw issuse
pop up.  Centered a quite a few things in medium and small view.  I need
to work on the off canvas and tab bar still.

I think I have the interior page complete

I have the interior page finished for desktop and up.  I need to do
responsive test and cross broswer tests.

I have the dropdown menu styled and I am working on the interior pages.
It is a slow progress.

I think I have the front page done

I have finished up the last of the items for the footer and copyright
areas.  It doesn't match 100%, but it is pretty dang close.

Working on the footer

I am working on what is left fo the footer.  I need to work on the
social icons and the styles of some of the divided spans.  It also
requires the last footer sprite for news signup.

I am trying to make it match

I am going back and forth between the psd front page and the front page
I have created.  I'm trying to make it perfect.  But I'm falling short.
I still have the footer to wrap up along with the copyright.

I am working on the footer and the bottom areas of the front page.  I

Continuing work on the fornt page

I did quite a bit of work on the front page.  Trying to make sure
everything on the front matches the psd.  The slideshow isn't going to
match.  I have done all I could think of with that.

I am trying to style the front page to match the psd.  The front page
doesn't use the regular font size.

I added the static images.

I added the static leader images under the founder profile.  I also did
some styling to make the blocks and news feed links look like psd.

the header layout finished thus far.  I also added some graphics I was
missing at first to the assets folder.
